I'm attempting to cut carbs or at least cut down on them focusing on the processed carbs. Man, I could not make it a whole day, but this is day 4 and I have cut back a good bit (for me anyway).
My question is this ...if I do well all day and don't have many carbs but by that night I do indulge is that worse on me since I'm eating them closer to bedtime? Or does it matter? What do you think? I need help.

That a theory that most dieters hold to and it maybe true. I have lost some weight by cutting carbs and I have trim some. I have always had trouble with late night snacks. I am now trying to eat fruit if I have a late night snack. Be sure not to cut at the good carbs. I would sugest maybe eating 5 to 6 small meals a day, 3 hours apart. The helps with Metabolism and my help slow down the late night ,undchies. I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, it's one of those hit or miss situations - where you have to try it, to know. Some people really benefit from low carb, some people from low fat, etc. You have to know your body - what feels right.

Once I stopped eating bad carbs for about a week I stop craving them. I still have my weak moments, but instead of indulging every day try no bad carbs for two or three days, then have a reward meal with carbs. That way you are working towards something you clearly want. If you make the stretches without carbs longer and longer you will probably eventually find you don't really need the carb loaded meal as a reward as much.

I am a carb and sugar lover. After a few days it does seem to be easier. When I don't have them at home I have to watch other places where they are looking at me, like at work, friends house, party, visiting family, etc. Just before bedtime is especially hard. I often make a skim milk shake with frozen unsweeten mix fruit, and splenda, a good 8 oz. which takes care of the desert and after dinner cravings. I can then go to bed with a good book and be happy with the day.

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
