I'm looking at the scale and I'm losing weight, but the more I lose, the more scared I get.
-Am I eating enough? I've been getting hunger headaches.
-Am I okay to be losing the weight so fast? I've lost 6 pounds in the last 4 days.
-Why do I feel like I'll cry if the scale doesn't show a difference at the end of the day? I've been gaining for so long, but now that I'm losing...I'm on edge and freaked out.
My only thought on why this is consuming my thoughts like it is is that because my brother recently got recognized as a National Merit I'm trying to keep myself from being jealous by thinking about something else.
...I hope that makes sense.
Anyway, if anyone has any support to offer, that would be awesome.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
It would appear as though you're making a weight loss thing something that you can beat him in. And although losing can be a very great achievement(when done properly) it can also be a little worrisome. For instance, I get scare when I start losing weight too. But then I realize...I'm doing it so that I feel better about myself. Which boards me back on the safe route.
But 6lbs in 4 days...that is a little much. I'd just take it easy, be happy for your brother...and remember...you have great achievements that he doesn't.
By eating very little you will lose weight fast (and put it back on even faster when you stop dieting) - by eating healthily and OFTEN you will lose weight steadily, find it easier to keep off, help your metabolism to keep working and not have to suffer those headaches!!
Please try not to be so hard on yourself.
