Ok so at the begining of this week I started a diet and an extreme work out routine. Well day one I love two lbs. That day I worked out doing a regular weight training day in the gym along with five small meals. The next day I did weight training agian but different areas. And when I weighed in the next morning I hadn't lost any weight and I did the same thing that I did the day before. It's been three days now that I've been at the same weight. I usually lose about a lb a day whenever I try to diet. But im stuck on this platue. The only thing that im doing different that I can think of is that I have gained muscle mass. (I've been working out for 7 continuous months) I just now have been trying to diet since I've been working out and since Ive been doing weight training and eating healthy it seems like Im having a harder time losing wieght. I have noticed that in the past when I do more cardio and diet I lose at a more consistant rate. Does anyone have any idea of what might be going on? =]

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Weight training brings muscle which weights more - get a body fat scale so even when your weight stays the same you will see changes in the body mass numbers.
Try exercising in the early AM before breakfast - you will burn mostly fat in that time.
Drink a lot of water - it helps you body to flush fat.
Plateau busting is hard - you are doing the right thing - stay on course.
Good luck.
Thats why you see stick thin girls on the treadmills all day.
If you want definition though you should be doing weights (like you are).
But you may lose a pound of fat and gain a pound of muscle. So on the scales it will look like you havent lost weight.
Eventually, when your body fat percentage gets to a certain point, (if you keep doing the weights) you will look smaller, more toned and defined.
I personally dont weigh myself as I dont care if im 9 stone or 10 stone. (as you could be a few pounds of muscle). I just want to see the difference in the mirror.
Train for what you want.
Lose weight- More cardio
Lose weight but gain muscle -Even cardio and weights
