Boredom eating is another thing. I cross-stitch to keep my hands busy.
Now do you have any ideas for stress eating? That's my problem!
15 almonds and an oz of low fat cheddar fills me up well. as far as eating when youre bored, that's an emotional thing that will pass when you're more in to your diet. the first couple weeks are hard, but once your body "detoxes" from sugar and bad fats, the cravings go down a LOT. i mean, of course people will always want bad food once in a while, but it will be way more managable. just stick in there.
but the others are right, if you are hungry you need to eat something
good luck
If you eat a little something every 2.5 to 3 hours, you will always have something in your stomach. You will also ward off any sugar spikes.
Now remember that you should be eating about 6 times a day; your 3 small meals and 3 little snacks. Honest, you will not ever feel those hunger pains again.
Remember, you are not increasing the amount of food you are eating, you are just spreading it out through the day.
If you need to snack, try something like hot air popcorn plain, or fruits and raw veggies.
I keep a bowl of fruit by my desk, i've just about managed to convincve myself it's better than chocolate ;-)
but when I really am craving something else I have low calorie hot chocolate or a low calorie cereal bar, they all keep the hunger/cravings at bay with less than 60 calories :-)

As for not eating when I am bored or stressed. I take try different things to get it off of my mind. One thing I do is go take a long hot bath. Other times I go for a walk or a swim. Sometimes I call friends or family to talk . I just get busy when I start feeling like I might it something that I shouldn't or when I shouldn't. That helps take my mind off of food and helps with my stress.
Don't give up . I know that you can do it.
