How are you preparing for Thanksgiving?

I have been thinking ahead alittle. this year we are actually having two Thnksgivings. So, I'm doing turkey and dressing (inside the bird) on Thursday. I love the moist dressing, but I am only fixing what can be stuffed in the bird .. nothing xtra. I am making mash potatoes, company is bring sweet potatoes. If I have any potatoes it will be a small amount of mashed. I am doing a veg. tray and a salad. I'm making the greenbeans with almond slices. There will be two pies. I probably will have none. On Sunday, thanksgiving # 2. DD is doing the turkey & a ham. She fixes the stuffing outside the bird (to dry for me) so I will not eat any. We will have mashed potatoes and sweetpotaoes as this is what our family does, but I will have neither. A tradition for the holidays is for me to make a bowl of potato-salad, so I will and a serving of that will be my potato. there will be baked beans, green bean casserole, and probably corn casseroll. (there will be 20-25 for dinner) There will be a few pies, a cake, and my personel favorite, Pretzel salad made with sugar free jello and light coolwhip. I will have a small piece of that. So mostly turkey, sm. helpings of potato, raw vegs. with spinach dip and then a 20 minute walk after dinner if my strength holds out!!

I've been thinking I will fill up on water. We ate at my MIL's house a couple of weekends ago and I spent a lot of time drinking water. Between bites. Otherwise not only do I overeat but I'll be done before everyone else. It slows me down and fillo me up.

I plan on praying that my blessings be great and my portions be small! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Sounds like you have made a good plan for yourself. I am going with friends and we are all watching our weight or trying to lose. I'm not real worried about it. I plan on having small amounts of items I like. And then the next meal get back to how I've been eating for 9 weeks. I'm still lacking in exercise, but if anyone suggests a walk, I'll go with them. You have a great holiday.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
