Hello!
I'm a new member here, and I'd like to ask if anyone has any advice for losing weight when you have an all-or-nothing mentality. (As in, "If I don't lose weight I'm just a failure at everything" or "I need to lose it all NOW!")
I'm having a hard because I feel horribly inadequate due to how I'm really easily distracted from, say, how I'm supposed to be taking a walk or riding my bike, by homework or drawing. I want to be TOTALLY dedicated and have ALL of my ducks in a row...but I don't. And that's frustrating, y'know?
Inadequate doesn't even cover it. Really, I feel like a waste most of the time.
I'm just going to keep plodding along, though, because that's what I do. I just hope plodding doesn't get any harder than it is now, 'cause then I don't know what I'll do!
Take care,
K-13

K-13, if some of us did't plod we would never move at all. Weight loss for most of us is a life issue. Up one day, down the next. Staying focused is hard, especially a a young age when so much is going on around you. here's a thought to help you focus. If your getting ready to go on a walk or exercise start saying to yourself - "now I'm going to walk, (or whatever) repeat that at least 50-60 timesin a row. It will help remind you of what you started off doing and might help you finish.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
