Hi I am starting my weightloss journey on Monday, Nov 5, 2007. My mother and I are doing this together. Join in if you like. We are going to weigh in every Monday and put in $5 a week. (Of course you dont have to do this with us but you can do it yourself at the end of your goal you get to keep it!) We would like to lose 25 pounds by Christmas. It might be a stretch but something to go for and keep going. I think that is about 3.5 pounds a week or so. I am going to keep tracked of what I eat, eat 3 meals a day and water. I am cutting out pop. Only water. Im not much of a cook so I bought south beach dinners. Alot of sodium I know but its a start. Someone on here said you take your weight and multiply it by 7 equals the amount of calories you should eat a day to lose weight. So I will go for that. I will go for walks as much as I can. I will come back on here tomorrow and post my weight. Wish me luck and join in if you like! No bad comments on this thread just motivation and suggestions! This is a happy thread. LOL

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I began today, and am praying to God that i can stick to it this time. I am doing my own version of weight watchers. Im feeling pretty good so far, and im not starving yet!
again, good luck. God Bless.
Perhaps you'll be healthier, and less likely to be disappointed if you aim for 15 lbs by Christmas and 25lbs by February.
All the best!
