i think it's really important to eat enough calories during the day. i know a lot of people who eat a very restricted diet. it's really important to eat enough to maintain after losing the weight. if a person loses weight eating 1000 cal a day and then expects to be able to go back to eating 1800-2000 cal/day after their weight loss they will most likely start gaining again. eating enough calories is important to keep the metabolism up. if your body gets used to eating so few calories your metabolism will adjust accordingly. if youre not in a huge rush to lose the weight ASAP, it's much healthier to take it slow, eat a healthy amount of calories/day and then most likely youll keep the weight off. let me know what you think.
