I have been at a plateau in my weight loss for about 3 weeks now, I am eating super healthy, making sure I am eating enough and walking 45 minutes 5 days a week plus weight training 3 times a week. I have not lost one pound and my clothes do not fit any differently. it doesn't make sense to me. I even upped my calorie intake thinking I needed more calories because of exercising, and it didn't help! I eat about 5 small meals a day consisting of lean meats, veggies, and some whole grains ( mostly in the morning). I really want to lose some more weight before Christmas, but it's like my body if fighting me despite my very healthy efforts! Can anyone help?
I guess I need a change so I am ready and willing for anyones advice!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You may need to try and change up your routine. Instead of just walking, maybe try and walk with weights or speed walk/jog. If you only enjoy walking, maybe try walking somewhere with a different terrain. Also, you may need to switch up your foods. Still stay healthy, but change some recipes and better appetize yourself. Your body just may need a change in order to get that kick start. Within 3-5 weeks, your body adapts to your new plan, so it's always best to change up. Good luck!
Sounds like you are putting in a lot of effort. Keep it up. This is just what you called it- a plateau- and it won't stay that way. It is good that you are maintaining at this point because it is your body's way of healthfully adjusting to the changes at it's own pace. What may spark some more weight loss is if you cut the cardio down to 20 or 30 minutes 5 x a week and increase your core body work out and weight training. This will boost your metabolism and allow your body to burn calories while you are at rest. Also if you can fit your work out in early in the day you will have a pumped up metabolism for the rest of the day. Good luck and keep up the hard work.
If anyone has any other tips let me know!
The water does help with the weight loss.
If your goal is to lose weight, you should be increasing your cardio not decreasing it. What type of cardio are you doing? You do want to be getting into a solid min of 35-45 min at about 70% your max - you want to be working up a really good sweat.
What about taking some spinning classes or some other classes at your local gym?
Also, you do need to be changing your workout every month. Ideally, you should be changing more frequently because keeping you body off balance and not knowing what to expect that you will do is another great way to improve your shape and even lose some weight.
Your eating should be every 3 hours - 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.
Try to enjoy your exercising more and do less stressing because stress contributes to weight gains.
You may be right about your body fighting you, so let up on yourself and persistence will win with time.
