Okay let me start this one out right :) I am a constant Crash Dieter and to me this is an ED, because I CONSTANLY DO IT. I wrote this post on the ED boards, and I understand the way I wrote it made people think i was asking for tips, but I have more sense then that, I was wanting to see if there was people like me that could share there story with me...here is what I posted there:
I was wondering if anyone could give me information on Crash Dieting. Is there anyone out there that has done them, and can tell me what they did, how much they lost, and the time frame it took to lose that much. Then can you tell me if you gained that plus more after the reason you dieted. Thank you in advance!
I understand that it sounds like I am wanting tips but it is hard to write down question abuot something that you don't know why you do, or to even let people know you do it, this is a big step for me to open up and tell people that I am so obessed with my weight that I am constantly crash dieting, and one of the reason somethng is consider and ED is when it becames and obession in your life. And maybe what I do is not crash dieting maybe it is a "Common ED" but I don't know that is why I am looking for people out there that can share there experience so i can see if this is what I do.
So of course I got ALOT of negative answers, go figure on a board to help me, huh? Anyway so they told me to come here to see if I could find people like me...so is there anyone out there that Crash Diets on a constant basis?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I was very upset about my weight and wanted something to work. I would not eat for days. One time I only drank protein for 14 days. I loss a little over 20 pounds in that time frame. However of course it all was gained back when I resumed eating "normal" again.
I tried to talk to my dr about what was happening. I dont think he understood my concerns and cries for help.
I finally went to a different dr. This dr did a ton of test on me to see if I was healthy, etc. Afterwards the dr told me that he did feel I had some food related problems. He suggested that I go to a nutritious. That seemed to help some. Later I found out that all my crash dieting has caused my metabolism to slow down. That I basically screwed up my own system by all the bad choices I have made.
At one point I was taking 15-20 diet pills a day. I think that was when my dr finally realized that I needed help. He was concerned what these pills were doing to me.
I am now on weight watchers. I have learned how to eat, what to eat. The meetings are a source of support for ppl who have been there just like me. Plus they understand all the crazy things I've done out of desperation to lose weight.
