Well I know I shouldn't do it, and I know what triggered it, but yet it seems like I just want to eat random bad foods.
This morning I found out that we went over limit again on the credit card. I have also been stuck in the house all day with 2 bored kids. I have about another hour to go until I have my sitter so I can go out and shop....another problem of mine when I get overwhelmed or stressed.
I have tried so hard in the past to do something else other than binge and shop, but it seems those two things are just easiest...I guess they give me the most satisfaction. I have tried to workout but that doesn't help. I even took a shower in the middle of the day to try to clear my mind. But I still had to stop myself in the kitchen dipping fritos into cheese and garlic dip. Eww! I know its gross and it didn't taste good at all. The there is the chocolate chips and potato chips...handfuls of them. But for me...its just something to do....I should have gotton on line first instead of going to the kitchen.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I would also clean out your cupboards of those fattening foods. If they arent there you cant eat them.
Last how about some low cal/low fat snacks for emergencies? I like the diet Pringles.. no fat and only 60 calories for 14 chips.
I find that when I'm bored I eat. And then I get sad and try to blame it on everyone else for not talking to me, or calling me, or visiting me, or whatever.
What I have been doing is finding things to occupy my time other than housework.
I made the effort to play basketball with my kids, we all needed the exercise and it was a great way to touch base with them casually. I joined a class once a week, sewing, with a bunch of women who need a few hours away from home each week. I still find that I have times when I am bored, and usually, I try to come on to this forum and a calorie counting one several times a day to keep me in track.
If you're ever bored and see me online, I'd be happy to keep you company.

Maybe do something with the kids that will keep them busy and you. Go for a walk. Play outside. Get a board game. I keep myself very busy now. When I start to feel overwhelmed with life and those feelings come up....I find things to do and quickly.
Another suggestion remove those trigger foods from the house. I had to. If you dont have them in the house than you want have an easy option of overdoing that bad stuff.
I hate my choices when I am stressed out. It used to happen daily a few months ago, and now it probably occurs once a week...so I am working on it. One of the things I noticed that made a huge improvement was me actually listening to my body. Stooping for a moment and figuring out what I need to do to feel better. (which last night was some time alone)...so for next time, lets stop and listen first...then decide what the next step should be. Thats what I am going to do. :)
