Well, I am new here, and I am excited about joining the site. I have just started the Master Cleanse, I went through the first day and I felt very weak later in the evening. I don\'t like feeling this way and wondered if anyone else has done this diet and if so, what are your suggestions?

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I was sketchy at first as well, I really wasn\'t sure that I could just ..well, not eat... how could some one do that? but I am very surprised how far I have come.

let me give you some incite on this cleanse. The concoction is based of the following ingredients:
Per serving
One Lemon,(squeezed into a container)
four tablespoons of organic maple syrup (very important it is organic as this is what gives your body the energy it needs),
and two pinches of paprika
this makes 20 oz at a time. (I like to make it fresh every time but you could make more at a time by adjusting the recipe)
From here you basically start the cleanse and if you really feel the urge to eat at the end of the day, its ok, eat a little something to keep you going. The whole time I have been on the cleanse I have eaten the following:
day one - a small peace of steak
day two - I ate one crossont
day three - I ate one crossont
From what I have read, there are people that have done the cleanse for 20, even 40 days at a time... I am going to try a week, and see if I choose to push it further. as of now I am doing well and I am making it. once I am ready to eat food again I have to take it slow, and I have also read that your tastes change and your cravings dissipate, so lets all cross out fingers because I don't want to be the cookie monster any more!
Just be sure to take a multivitamin too, ok? Your body needs those nutrients to stay healthy.

I hope it helps! I thought I posted earlier this morning, but I think I forgot to hit the submit button. I work for a Naturopathic Doctor and I suppliment very frequently. I take a multi vitamin, a B12 sup., Omega 3, and I do a colon cleanse often. these things have helped me SO MUCH in my fight against this weight. cleansing is a great thing for your body, it cleanse out all the toxins in your system! you may feel a little sluggish for the first few days, as the toxins filter through your system, but I have found that I actually felt more healthy once I did the cleanse. I do have to say, while i have done this cleanse I have felt no urge to go to the restroom other than to urinate. in order for me to actually have a movement I had to supplement with a colon cleanser ( I used Oxy-Powder) and once I did that I felt great! you will find that if you do decide to do this cleanse that it cleans out your liver, and your immune system of all the garbage. once I accomplished this I felt completely different health wise. feeling great!
