My husband is at end stage failure. Because of his diabetes and heart weakness his prognosis is not good. His doctor told us he has about 18 months on PD. I am very concerned that he will not be emotionally able to stick to the routine or the diet. He is still urinating now. My questions are: after the cath it placed and dialysis starts what happens if he choses to stop? vs going as long as possible without. I need to know which will give him the most qaulity of life the longest.
