My dad just was released from the hospital he has been diagnosed with Spontaneous Peritonitis. He looks 9 months pregnant and very sick. The dr's are saying that he should get better in 10 - 14 days. I somehow don't believe it. He has had these syptoms over the past 3-4 months, they have just been gradually gettin worse until he ended up in the hospital with a huge stomach. A little background: my dad has been on Hemodialysis for approx 6 weeks he had been on peritoneal for about 3 years prior to this. He is 74 years old. The dr's are giving us vague answers and I have a feeling that he is not going to really recover from this. Has anyone heard about this? Does anyone have these symptoms of nausia, loss of appetite. If he stays this sick it would only make sense to stop the dialysis. BTW all test results have come back normal, liver, white blood cell, there are no tumors. They have found nothing abnormal.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
