I recently started on a high blood pressure med that has a diuretic in it, I too was in the bathroom alot. I've been loosing weight too so I'm happy. I'm also on a weight reduction plan. I heard salt intake was a big factor but I'm no doctor.

Salt makes you retain water, or I should say sodium, including the kind in MSG. Late-cycle and pregnancy hormomes make you retain water too. If you have diarrhea a lot and don't drink water to make up the loss, your body will bloat up in self-defense to keep you from dehydrating. It also seems to be a part of inflammation -- when I have eaten something I'm allergic to I can bloat up, and I pee it all off again when I take a Benadryl.
