I'm in the process of seeing a new doctor. My endo has retired and I've been left to find someone to treat my diabetes and thyroid condition. I found a gp near here who will take me. The problem is, I can't do morning appointments due to some unforeseen circumstances and she insists I do a fast for a fasting glucose. Now if I'm an established diabetic(a few years), why would I have to do a fasting? And couldn't I do that here myself and take my meter with me so she can read it? I cannot go all day long without eating. My bs will bottom out and then i'll be feeling awful. Shouldn't this dr do an a1c instead??

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
