Diabetes Type 2 Support Group
Type 2 Diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce enough insulin or does not make efficient use of it. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. Without enough insulin, glucose can accumulate in the blood, and can cause serious health problems such as heart disease and strokes and organ damage...

I can certainly justify the sugar when I want to. :-( Although my BS stayed stable afterwards; I know I was just kidding myself. The one good thing about it was that it was only 12 oz instead of the 20 oz, I normally would have drank and I haven't repeated the experiment. :-) One choice at a time gets me either closer to my goal or leads me further away from me. It's my choice. Hang in there!
I did find from the ADA that up to 180 is acceptable for diabetics but that just seems high. I would be so happy to be 140 post meal which from what I read is normal.
I am very unhappy that another really favorite food spikes me that bad, but at least I know.
Oh well the testing continues. Today I had an egg, toast and bacon, AM fasting 100 2.5 hours after 108.
God Bless
