About a month ago, I just happened to mention to my Dr. that I had tested my blood sugar at my sisters house. (She is a diabetic) It was 263. So while I was in his office, he did an A1c. It came back as 7.7. His nurse called with these results. She told me to go to a Diabetic Educator etc. I did. Then my Doctor wanted me to do a Fasting Blood Test last week. Today, his nurse calls and says, "your cholesterol is high and he is going to put you on Lipitor." I said, well, what about my Blood Sugar?? She said, it's a little high. It was 205. I asked her what should I do about that and she said just keep checking your blood. I guess I'm confused. I thought with a number that high, I would have been put on medication. Should I be glad that I'm not or should I be concerned that I'm not.?? Please help me. I am so confused. Thank you!
