Take care..
If you are not used to exercising it would be difficult to start now. But sometimes we have to push ourselvs to do what we don't want to do. Just walking would for 30 minutes would be good for you.
Hope you feel better soon.
I can't strongly enough encourage you try Dr. Neal Barnard's Plan for Reversing Diabetes. There's a book as well as a web site. It can seem very radical at first, but then again it sounds like you may be ready for a radical change. I've been doing the plan for just over three months and it seems quite "normal" at this point. My numbers started to change within the first few days. After 3 weeks, I couldn't believe how much better I felt... and now several months into it, I have a new life. I wish you well.

This year I made the decision to see an endocrinologist. Best thing I ever did and I wish I had did this sooner. If you aren't seeing one I highly recommend that you do. I also recommend that you see a nutrition or a dietitian or diabetes nurse educator.
I now have been able to loose 28 pounds since June and my FSB is awesome 97 to 120 in the morning. I was put on Byetta and my meds were tweaked 5mg of Glipizide 2x a day, Metformin 1000 mg 2x after lunch and dinner.
You will have to make radical changes in your diet and start counting the carb grams. Talk to your doctor about the Byetta. For me it controls my carb cravings.
Don't give up tomorrow is a new day!
