I have a problem that I wonder if any of you could help me with. i have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and so far my blood sugars were great. I have alot of fluid retention, and they use lasix to release the fluid. Apparantly Metformin is hard on the kidneys. It causes hight creatin. So they stopped the Metformin and put me on double gludconorms three times a day. My sugars range now from 12 to 18. Is there any ideas you might have to bring them down without going back on the metformin. The fluid must come off since it accumulates around the heart causing the lungs to almost drown. Any ideas would really be appreciated.
