Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes on July 22 also with high blood pressure. I was in total shock. There's no history of it on my mom's side or dad's side. I thought it was hereditary. My mother has high blood pressure so that wasn't too shocking. My question is, is what is a normal blood sugar for people with type 2 diabetes? When I first got diagnosed it was 258. I am taking metformin. Now my blood sugars range 102-130? Is that good? I don't go see the doctor until Monday. I've lost 8 lbs too. My AC1 was a 10!! I'm just scared to death.
