I know a gal that is only 5' weighs more then 300# she does not have diabetis so thats not a fact with being overweight make you this way but a fact that ppl who make a living off reserach of us and docs that get paid for us to see them for our illness so they can rake every dollar out of us for supplies we need to meet our needs each day..
If not insurance then our diabetic supplies are so expensive more then most car payments these days..
However i do have insurance to cover this but my sis/mom does not and told me yesterday it cost her $55 for a bottle of 50 test strips and $28 for insulin and this does not include syringes etc...
I have had diabetis will be 40 yrs next year i am not on an insulin pump i take two shots a day but my sugars are well under control fasting blood sugars range from 104-130's and my doc is satisfied with those compared to 300 when i first was dignoised with this.
