THis is what i call it when i have to take my insulin shots. Because ppl who are on insulin if we don't take our insulin we will eventually die. So to make it sound better to me i call it MY SHOT OF LIFE. And when my children were younger they ask me what this was mommie had to take all the time and i named it MY SHOT OF LIFE...
As years went on they knew it as that, not insulin not that mommie was diabetic and all they knew if i did not take it i would die and they wanted me around forever...
So for all the newbies in this group who are having to take insulin for the first time or have someone in their life that has to take it for the first time maybe if they thought of it as i did many years ago as a SHOT OF LIFE they would not ponder and dread it so much to have to take them.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Do you have a free clinic in your area that you can go to when your out of insulin and they can get you free?? we do in the area i live in.
No free clinics that I know of. But was referred to a doctor by a co worker.
