ya, in the depths of our depression we sometimes forget about the good in this world, especially when bad things happen but there are still good people...last night there was a shooting very near where i live. A man was upset because of an on going battle with city hall and so he brought a gun and murdered 6 people...the mayor is in critical condition...it is a horrible tragedy but the father of a girl the year ahead of me in school was sitting right next to the mayor...he threw chairs at the shooter...it reminded me of that professor at virgina tech (another shooting last year, the worst school shooting in US history, he was a concentration camp survivor and he barricaded the door so his students could jump out the window as the gunman shot through the door...it just made me think, wow, there are horrible things in our world but there are also amazing people who defy our preconceptions about humanity
