Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I've seen a lot of posts recently where people ask why certain posts get bumped up the page a lot and why others seem to get ignored and fall off the page.
I was theorising with a friend about it and thought I'd put some suggestions to our community to see what others think.
These are the reason why I think some threads get bumped:
1. Lack of familiarity with a new member: (some people are afraid of new things and/or new people and tend to keep their distance for a while). Also with the recent spate of trolls that have wreaked havoc, some members are vary wary of newcomers.
2. Timezones: this is predominantly a US site although there are a lot of members from Britain, Australia and NZ who are on a different timezone and in some cases are almost a whole day ahead of the US, so you end up getting a number of peak net traffic times.
3. Being able to relate to a topic: not every does and so they don't post a reply.
4. Triggers: some posts can be very triggering for people. A lot of members in this community also belong to many other communities as well. I know there are a few in the Personality Disorder and Sexual Abuse community.
5. Moods/Emotions: depending on what mood a person is in and what may be stressing them at the time might be the reason why they react of don't post. Sometimes people need a break from discussing depression (which at times can be emotionally exhausting in itself) and so other topics are created and participated on more frequently.
I don't think it means that any post is less important or holds any less value than another post, it's just that there are a lot of other factors involved.
What do you guys/gals think? I'd love to hear your thoughts......

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I'll try to condense things for ease of reading in the future
