I dont really like talking about my depression... But sometimes I tell friends because my depression gets in the way of something and I really dont want to lie about it.
So i will share what happend and usually they are there and really caring but some friends tell me stuff like,
"you ever think about people that have nothing?" or something like,
"just get on with your life and cheer up".
I hate it when people say that because I ALWAYS think about why I am feeling sad when I do have a lot of things that people dont have.. for instance im on the internet right now... When people pull that card I dont know what to say!

What am i suppose to say when people say just get on with your life and stuff? I always get the vibe that people think depression is like something that isnt a serious issue.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Unless they are willing to learn about the illness it is very difficult to try to get someone to understand.

i take offense when people compare depression to serious problems. ive dealt with depression all my life. everything is a struggle. but that doesnt stop me from still going out and doing what needs to be done.
