Are any of you like on here like me, my mother abandoned me and my brother when I was just a very small child.... She and my dad split up and he told her to leave and would not allow her to take us kids, but instead of taking it to the courts, she did just that, she left....She remarried and had more children and me and my brother never heard from her, until years later, when I was 16, she contacted us....
She convinced me to come and visit with her and get to know her and my other sibings (which lets be honest, I had no desire to know those kids, they had my mother and I didnt)
I went to visit her and stayed with her for like 2 months, during that entire stay I felt like I was a stranger, she cuddled her other daughter and mothered her and I was so jealous of it, it ate away at me, I decided to leave and go back home. When I left, it wasnt pretty either, me and her didnt even say goodbye...
At 19 I was getting ready to get married for the first time, so I contacted her and told her I was getting married and I wanted her to be part of it, It was during this time that she and I got close, or so I thought, Later I would learn that it was only going to last a few years.
By the time I was 25 her and I were very very clsoe, we spent a lot of time together and for once I felt like I truly had the mother I never had. BUT things were about to change, me and her had some sort of disagreement on something (I dont even remember now) and there were harsh words and very harsh letters, Now its been almost 10 years since we have really talked and she has made it perfectly clear that she does NOT wish to have me in her life...This has hurt me terribly.
I look just like her, and I was jsut sitting here thnking, how does a mother abandon her children? How does that happen? And how can a mother turn her back on her child when they say they need her?
Are any of you in a situation like this?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I am not in this situation. But, my niece was. I saw what it did to her as a little one. There are even some animals that stay to raise their young. It is horrible that a mom can do this to her kids. It is another smack in the face when you find out that they walked out and started a new one. You are too good for her. Any woman, mother, that would have the daughter there she abandoned and have another daughter on her lap hugging, is cruel. Her hugs and kisses should have been yours. You have turned out to be a kind, caring and loving woman. Maybe this is because she didnt stick around. She doesnt want you in her life because you are a reminder of where she failed. You need to fill this void in your heart with something and accept her for what she is and what she has done. That is great that your dad stuck it out with you and your brother. ALot of men cant say that.
