This may sound a bit daft but I am starting a new job tommorow and wasn't sure what to wear for my first day. Its an office job but I thought going in a suit might look a bit over dressed, but I don't want to go too casual and give the wrong impression. Any suggestions would be good.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
If you wear a suit, maybe put a sweater in your bag. You can always take off a jacket -- and dress it down.
Keep in mind you are likely going to be judged for "fit". "Team" fit is very important for most employers these days. How do you want to be perceived -- professional, laid back.
Oh, don't forget big hair and 4 inch heels.
I didn't see anyone from the office apart from the 2 who interviewed me and I can't remember what they were wearing. I think I'll go in my grey trouser suit but also take a jumper and decide when I get there.
