.....to you about your depression?
Here's a few things that people have said to me that annoyed the heck out of me.
1. "Hang in there, it will get better" - the fortune telling response
2. "Cheer up" - the 'do-gooder I don't know what the heck to say' response
3. "What have you got to be depressed about?" - the ignorant skeptic response
4. "Everyone gets depressed, you just need to harden up" - the 'I'm suddenly a trained psychologist' response
5. "Your mother probably had it thats why you do" - the 'join the club' response
What have people said to you that has annoyed you?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I hate that one, might be true but damn it I wish He/She had less faith in me! (And that I had the nerve to say exactly that to them when they make that stupid statement!)
"You're letting it beat you, try harder"
"You've got to get over your past"
"Get up and do things, it'll make you feel better, believe me"
"Are you seeing a therapist?" - like its such a panacea!!!
Hmm, although a smidgen of truth in these, its only a smidgen!!! Bugger non-depressed ppl, I'm gonna eradicate them out of my life once and for all :-)))
Just makes me want to crawl into a hole & die or punch their lights out.
Go get yourself a haircut and while you are there get your eyebrows waxed. I always feel better after a day at the beauty salon.
Smell the fresh air and get out of the house for a little while. sunshine will make you feel better. After all it helps produce Vitamin K.
