While in the waiting area at my sons therapy session...I see a basket with tablets, pens and a news article in the corner. I pick up the article and read the benefits to journalling.
The article was based on studies. It read that those who journal are less likely to suffer from depressions as severe as they once were.
Journalling 3 days a week an hour each time has been shown to lower blood pressure and pulse rate.
The study was also done for those writing and logging their feelings onto the computer. Both had the same positive results. It was also shown to improve symptoms of PTSD.
I just thought I would share what I learned with you. Maybe it will help.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I find the times I am the most down, are the times I write the least in my journal.
sleepy..if you dont know what to write then just write anything. write about a thread you liked or a story you heard. write about dinner or lunch. just write.
these thoughts can be deleted after we process them onto paper or pc. The point is to just get it from heart to mind to paper or pc.
I recently bought a really cool journal, got all into it for about 2 weeks, then just kept forgetting...
=(
Hiareth, you journal often? I am glad to hear that it works.
I just told another friend a fact that works for me...I would rather wear a fake smile all day than to wear a meant frown.
