I am very disturbed by the posts our young members, as well as older members, are making about ending their lives. I am not a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, or counselor, but I am a wonderful listener. I am a mother of 3 girls (1 biological and 2 step) and grandmother of 5. Two of my girls suffered severe depression and suicidal ideation as teens. We went through individual and group counseling. All 3 went through inpatient treatment as well. I should say, all 3 had different emomtional problems. Please, please, do not end your lives. I know from experience some of you would rather not talk to your parents about your problems. Sometimes a person without a face is easier to talk to in cyberspace. I am offering you my ear and a shoulder to cry on. I, too, suffer from depression, so have "been there/done that". If you want to talk, message me and I will respond. I'm not online 24/7, but do check in periodically during the day to check messages, etc. I would be more than willing to listen to you and give you advice only if you want it. Please talk before you do anything drastic. OK? For those of you who want to jump in and tell me I'm not a doctor or professional, save it. I already said I am not! I am simply a person who cares deeply about the young people on here who ARE OUR FUTURE!!! So just save your negative comments about this for some other day!

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
