Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I've belonged to this community since I joined DS last April. The few times I have posted anything I have received very little feedback...so be it; no big whoop.
Each time I come to peruse the posts on this site, i am appalled by the meanness of some towards others and the immaturity that runs rampant on this board.
Needless to say that what I have seen here in this "debate" certainly underscores why I come here so infrequently. Of all thecommunities that I have visited, this one has the pettiest and most immature discussions.
Most of the "debate" on that particular post been repeated over and over again and probably a good 50-60% is just plain nonsense.
I don't know any of you well enough to pick a side...lucky me!! I can tell you, however, that the 2 individuals who continuously use capitalized letters throughout their posts have presented very very weak arguments. To use the capital letters ALL the timeis both rude and annoying. Both katiedid and wanamaker sound like pre-pubescent spoiled brats to me.
This is the view of one outsider looking in and happy to stay outside, thanks very much.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
From the quick glances I have taken, it does seem like a never-ending immaturity fest, which there is no excuse for except too much alcohol, but that's my opinion.
I was intending to let the community here know how this board looks from those who don't get involved in all the silly BS that goes on here.
It ain't a pretty sight or site (haha!)
"can't we all just get along?"
neither snork, her followers, wannamaker, her followers want to agree to disagree!
we should be focusing on supporting each other.
I also love the dog BTW
As for Kay and her caps lock disability, I can't imagine any reason that she couldn't type in all LOWER case instead of in all caps. There shouldn't be a difference to her, but it would be much more pleasant reading for everyone else.
TYPING THIS WAY BRINGS MORE ATTENTION TO YOURSELF I GUESS
Can't comment on the others.
Gram, that's exactly what I was trying to say. If it upsets you, DON'T READ IT!
There...see how CAPS are properly used? :)
I think we should all make a pact to ignore these discussions and go back to the reason why we all joined DS (support). Lowering ourselves to that level just feeds negative behavior and continues to fuel the debate.
