I am new to Daily Strength, tell me how are you supposed to use your journal? Is it meant to be used as a diary of daily events to show others? or is it meant to help by writing down your feelings? What if you write something thats private? would it be offensive to people to keep it private? also do you find it helps you by writing down your feelings? like an online diary perhaps?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have gotten a great deal from keeping a journal, which I have done since high school. I wish now, I would have kept those.
You use a different part of your brain for writing, and I often find myself writing things I hadn't thought of otherwise.
If others get offended somehow by you keeping some of them private, that is their problem. But I have not heard of that being an issue before.
