In a thread yesterday, I was reminded of the parable of The Good Samaritan. two people who had know each other for only minutes were hurting each other. Saying nasty things and getting so upset. When I read their early comments, I could see how they could be misinterpreted. I was standing back, looking in. They were too involved to notice. Too hurt, too angry. I had been asked by one to speak in their defence, I couldn't. They were both wrong and I don't take sides. So I put to them; what would you do if you passed one laying in the roadside, hurt, near death. Would you pass them by? Of course not, who could? Soon they privately spoke, hugged, forgave, made peace.
Today is the day that we Brit's remember those that fought and those who still fight for justice, for humanity, for peace. Those that gave their lives so that we have the rights to have freedom of speach, the freedom to be equal, the freedom to choose for themselves, the freedom to love, to give, to care.
Life is always about choices, we have that right, it is our entitlement.
Today I can choose to forget about my small woes and look from a distance at our world. This is another of my 'measures' what would I do in your place? What would I want from me?
I can't change the world, I can change me.
If each of of us care that little bit more, show our love, together we can make this world a better place.
WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Sometimes we pend so much time nursing our own pain we forget about the rest of the world but if everyone gave just a little bit then we could have a better place to live.
