I have not had to ask my Dad for help for so many years.
He said he would do Christmas for the boys. Mailing a check this week. I was almost insulted when he asked if I still have a bank account....Yeah, my own account....check numbers over 2300...I feel like a dried up earthworm that he should ask that.
Aways kept up my own account, even when I had a joint account with my husband......
I have 2 boys...both asked for 4 fun items for Christmas.....LOL they are taking it easy on me.
So.....I know what they need...they know what they want. I think they will get 1 item each off their lists.
The youngest won't wear anything other than jeans...and he keeps ripping holes in the knees of his jeans. He needs jeans. Dont want my kid going to school in ripped pants, even though they are CLEAN ripped pants.
The eldest at home is over 6' tall...growing like someone put friggin fertilizer in his size 13 shoes!! GOOD GOD!! He needs jeans as well.
They both need socks, underwear.....
So be it...1 wish list item...and clothes, and thank you to my daddy!!
I feel like shit at this point.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Hugs, hon.
I'm the one struggling to pay the bills at home. My gifts are year-round....a home, utilities, cable tv piped into their bedrooms....might seem the truck is just mine...but I use it to get back & forth to work to provide for my boys....it's theirs as well.
Cellphone? If I run behind schedule....My 14 year old is ringing me!! "Are you coming home" Do I EVER NOT come home? Of course I'm coming home. Tied up in traffic....maybe an accident on the interstate...I can't see what the problem is, but of course I'm coming home. Want to help me out? Make sure the homework is done
It never ends.....holidays just add more pressure.
I know his intentions are good, and I'm insuffient for leaning there, unworthy of help...If my kids were grown, I'd rather live in a cardboard box than ever ask anyone at all for help.
Next Christmas will be like last years Chistmas (please, God)...I'm trying as best I can to pull this together.
Need help this year. :(
