Thank you everyone for your prayers. For those who didn't catch my last post, my niece was admitted to the hospital yesterday. She is pregnant with twins. There was a problem with the amount of oxygen getting through the embilical cord for the girl to survive. Baby boy is at a 30 week 2 days development and baby girl is at 26 week 5 days. Her umbilical cord is thick and not allowing enough blood flow. She is a fighter and is focusing the oxygen flow to the needs of the brain which hopefully will prevent any brain damage. He is 3 lbs. 5 oz. and she is 2 lbs. 1 oz. The twins are not identical, the boy has his own sak and embilical cord and is progressing at normal rate. It is the girl that is struggling. The drs. gave my niece a shot to focus on lung development for them and was not sure if she would need to take the babies this morning. O.K. That brings us up to date. I have really great news. The family is doing well and seem to be out of danger. I will copy and paste the e-mail I recieved today, minus the names of family members. We are also praying for my niece's husband and his family, that they would recieve the Lord. Continued prayer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much. Parts from my e-mail:
The things the doctors are watching for are: 1) that baby girl has enough ambianic fluid - a minimum of 2 cc. 2) and that she continues to fight for her life while the medicine (shots) have a chance to speed up the development of both babies lungs. If either of these situations fail they will need to take the babies immediately. Also, while the lung development is being accelerated all other development is slowed down. The lungs being the most necessary for their survival will get priority.
As stressful as the situation is, I believe we all appreciate God's hand on us. If blank had seen the high risk doctors even one week later, this might be in a different situation altogether. (This Monday was blank and blank's first visit with her new (high risk) doctor.)
Also, blank and blank were also amazed and grateful for another situation that the baby was rescued/saved from. The doctor that read the ultrasound said that in situations like this they rarely know what caused the problem. In this case they were clear. The way the egg attached to the wall set the baby up for down syndrome. That is the "thickened" placenta and cord causing the blood flow to the baby to become slow. It is extremely unusual in a situation like this, but on the rare occasion the baby will somehow overcome this. The doctors don't know how. This baby has overcome down syndrome. There are no chromosomal signs of any problems. There is no thickening of certain bones, and her facial features are perfect. Don't tell me God's hand isn't here. Not one of us will believe it. We thank and praise Him.
Thanks to all of you again and again. I am so happy things are going well.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
