I often wonder when i read threads that tell the suicidal person to call the ambulance... who would ever actually do that? Either you make the attempt or YOU talk yourself out of it. For the most part I don't think we can stop anyone from doing that. I feel that some people are just reaching out and don't intend to hurt themselves. Some are just pissed off at the world and want to hurt anyone. Which is fine too. Sometimes it is just what it is. Noone ever knows orless they've walked in them shoes. I am sure that in some instances death does occor. I think the majority is just a cry for help.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Even tho' I am not active on the suicidal phone lines at the moment, I still get some people contact me online. We never know other people's pain, we can't assume anything, ever.
I am so thankfull that in the UK the Samaritans are trusted by those in despair.
Any Brit. who needs to talk anything through with people who really do care, please phone them. (some of them are mad like me)
Better to cry out then succeed.
There is a need for the attention being asked for.
And maybe it is to help keep them from deteriorating and getting worse and more suicidal.
I have helped several suicidal people on here to date. Some have been hoaxes. And they were good at it. But even that is good drill training for the real thing. And I wouldn't be a bit suprised if even at least some of those hoaxes have a shred of truth in them.
These posters should be made to realise the cost of crying wolf.
