Trying to think Of a polite way of telling my 19 year old , (who just moved in with me) that wearing no socks with sneakers or tennis shoes is not a good idea and has caused her shoes to smell really bad. I can smell the foul smell when she is wearing the shoes and even more so when she takes them off. They need to be thrown away, even though they are fairly new shoes they are ruined, she is stinking up the entire house, and is making me feel like throwing up when im around her. How do I tell her? She is hard headed and I know she is going to not want to throw them out she has already told me that there is some spray or something that she can do about the smell but I told her then its going to smell like that and the foul smell and not going to help at all. Grosss!
