So earlier this year, for the 1st time in my life I began suffering from depression and morning (waking)anxiety. You can read my profile for more details. I've been working on getting a psychiatrist and have been talking with a counselor. My regular practicioner prescribed Ativan which helps a little but I know is highly addictive. When I finally do get a psychiatrist what meds do you all recommend? I'm afraid of addiction, bad side effects, not working but need to put out these fires of depression as best as I can. What worked for you all? What didn't work?
