I just got a phone call from my sister who stayed with me all last winter, now she is in San Diago... my doc wants me to get a sleep study to diagnose sleep apnea, so I asked my sister if she ever noticed if I snore or gasp for air or make noises or whatever that might indicate that I should like splurge and get the test (I don't have insurance and that test is quite costly)... ok, she says I don't snore or gasp or anything, that all I do is cry in my sleep, that I do it all the time.
This really blows my mind. I am NOT a cryer... oh, I'll laugh til tears roll, and once in a long gray moon, I'll have a good cry... that is like once every months or years. I don't understand why I would cry in my sleep, my dreams are always pleasant. I don't have nightmares or anything. She says she thought I was in pain. But if I don't cry awake, why would I cry in my sleep?
Does anyone else cry in their sleep? Or rather, been told that they cry in their sleep?

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
My Boyfriend has alot of "sleep emotions". He has bad spinal stenosis and is in constant back pain. It is a chore for him to even find a comfortable position to sleep in. When he finally does he often cries out in his sleep when he's in pain.
I think we do alot in our sleep. Have you ever woken up and felt all tense like your muscels are in knots? This happens to me too.
Don't think it's a bad thing, just our brains never shutting down.
maybe if your consciousness is not releasing the tears, your subconsciousness has to do.just a guess though...
