Shades of grey
as I walk in the valley of green green grass
my eyes no longer see in colours
one colour - in different shades
grey is the colour through out my day
my own shadow blurred - emerged with the surroundings
who am I to see tomorrow through shades of grey?
high up in that maple tree... there it is the thing to set me free
an old leather sack camouflaged by branches and leaves
hanging with a tiny knot but yet so strong
my hands aching
my feet are sore
muscles lost
weight gained
no way for me to climb that tree
the burden of me so heavy and grey
want to ask you for help if I may
then again... who are you?
I am but a lonely wanderer in torn out shoes
grey my thoughts, my tears, my face
calling out for no one to hear
grey is my pathway
what now?!
who might YOU be?
how come you are here beside me?
aaah... you followed my footprints you say
but why in a valley all grey?
- Yes.
I am but a lonely wanderer in torn out shoes.
as I walk in the valley of green green grass
my eyes no longer see in colours
one colour in different shades
grey is the colour through out my day
my own shadow blurred emerged with the surroundings
who am I to see tomorrow through shades of grey?
- I have never seen you before and now you say you walk in the same shade of grey. How can that be?
- From a distance I have seen the faded image of your burdened shoulders... thought I'd never get the chance to reach out to touch your hand.
- Why do you want to feel my aching palm and my crocked fingers?
- Because you are no longer alone in shades of grey. I feel a tear rolling down my face and happiness filling my airless lunges. Together we can walk mile after mile...
- What you are saying is that you are willing to walk together with me in grey?
- Yes, you heard me right.
- Come with me you wanderer with worn out shoes! Let me show you the door to the world of colours!
- You mean there is such a door?!
- The gate to glittering rainbows, wide blue oceans, trees of greenest green, parrots in red, blue, green, orange, yellow...
- You must take me there at once!
Two wanderers with worn out shoes walking on lighter feet... faster and faster... faster... faster... faster
- There it is!
- Where? I can't see!
- Look at where my finger is pointing. There - high up in the tree crown. Do you see it?
- Oh, you mean that grey old sack? Is that the door to the world of colours? Are you really sure?
- Stand absolutely still - your eyes looking at the sack.
- Oh, what was that?!
- So you saw it then... the red ray of light shining through... to quickly disappear again...
- Yes, I saw and now I believe.
- Let us climb up and grab a hold of the door the world of colours!
- But I am too heavy and my neck stiff...
- I will conquer this tree as you hold on tight to a rope tied around my waist.
- A rope... I've got no rope... do you?
- Yes... look here... I don't have much on my journey in grey... but I do have a rope in my bag.
Up around that thick old branch the rope went... thrown up by the hand of hope.
The rope... around the waist of the wanderer... the end of it held in a firm grip by the one with feet on the ground.
Up... up... up... the wanderer climbed as the other struggled to not let go of that rope...
A tired hand with blisters - touching the leather sack.... as a smile covered the entire face of this wanderer in grey.
Down on solid ground with the sack lying on the grey soil... the two wanderers got down on their knees... untied the leather string from around the sack...
Suddenly - everything around the wanderers with worn out shoes... took new colours in a shade of glowing brightness
Grey turned into red, blue, green, orange, pink, and black, white, purple...
The two wanderers made it... they made it together... They entered the door to the world of colours!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
