so i began this new school called Douglas, names after Fredrick Douglas the abolitionist. its an alternative school for kids with bad backgrounds such as kids with drug or abuse problems. anyways, i feel like a complete fish out of water there. everyone is ghetto and "from the hood" and i gotta be the whitest guy i know. everyone is sagging their pants and are holding their pants by the crotch and people are always cussing and acting up. unlike most kids there, i hav a good home life, i just hav problems with the school. i hav severe social anxiety so that means i get really overwhelmed and things really freak me out. kids call me out in front of the class and ask why im so quiet and weird. i dont know how im going to survive this school. any suggestions would be very helpful, thx.
