Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

We all have things we do to stay ahead of depression when we can. I walk and do yoga, I really try to eat well and get enough (not too much sleep).
What things do you do to maintain sanity? (there is a little sarcasm here)
Sarcasm welcome if it makes you feel better.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
All in all lately my job has really helped me...I truly love my job...
My husband has tried to help and sometimes he does...
Writing has helped me release a lot of feelings at once, if I don't want anyone to see what I wrote I just delete it.
Getting hugs from people here also helps.
AND I have done TONS of baking these last few weeks...(that might help the sanity but it doesn't help the hips...I've been trying to share more than I eat)
Yoga.
Watching favorite movies.
Meditation.
Sleeping well.
I'm learning trust and faith (nondenominational) in hopes of that helping one day.
