Are you for them or against them? Do you actually care? What are your honest opinions?
I think they should be abolished. They cost taxpayers a HUGE sum of money every year, not just it the hundreds of millions of pounds they "earn", but in all the additional security measures, policing, organizing etc when they go out "among the people". The Queen doesn't run the country, and has no say on what happens in it, let alone actually LEADING the country. Unless I'm sorely mistaken they now serve no purpose in the UK, or the Commonwealth (what a strange word by the way) other than to attract tourists to London.
They are completely out of touch with the reality of life in this country nowadays. They get involved in any high profile success (attending the Rugby World Cup final, sending messages that MUST be read out in the team's dressing room just before they go onto the pitch). They are pampered beyond belief (50,000 spent on a luxury toilet just in case the Queen needed to go on her last outing). I'd rather that 50,000 was spent on 2 more nurses in a hospital for a year. What kind of example do they set for the youth in the country they "lead"? I'd like to see any of them live on the wages of a shop-worker, paying their own bills, including rent on the scummy flat they would have to work 80 hours a week to pay the rent on. But of course they won't do that, they don't know that anyone actually has to do that. They live in a little bubble, soaking money up from our wages, blissfully unaware of where it comes from. I say get rid. Stop paying them, make them get a real job on real wages and live in a real house. If they can do that they'll get a lot more respect from me than they do at the moment.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
they are a figurehead of the past, i agree that they probably do cost the public too much
