I am a Baptist. Or perhaps I should say I am a member of a Baptist church and I have been baptized, and I believe the Baptist doctrine but ... a friend sent me the following quiz a while back and the 'Belief-O-Matic" results surprised me. I'm only 98% Baptist!
My top 3 religion matches were:
1. Unitarian Universalist (100%)
2. Liberal Quaker(98%)
3. Mainline-to-liberal Christian Protestant.(98%)
There are two parts of the quiz to be aware of. There's the actual question, and associated with each question is a place to measure the importance you place on the answer to the particular question.
Here's the quiz. I'm curious to see your answers.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
2. Orthodox Quaker (100%)
3. Bah' Faith (93%)
My top three: Quite a surprise!
Interesting quiz though. I had expected to be more in line with Eastern philosophies.
2. Orthodox Quaker (95%)
3. Seventh Day Adventist (93%)
93% Unitarian Universalism
88% Theravada Buddhism
and only 17% Catholic which is what my parents are
Of course, regardless of your religion, or your affiliation within that religion, your beliefs go wherever you go ... so it's feasible that I could practice Christianity at McDonald's or in a bathtub for that matter. I provided the link as an interesting diversion for those who chose to experience it, but it was not intended as a challenge to anyone's personal faith.
Lordy, sometimes the disclaimers are longer than the commercial!
2. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (96%)
3. Eastern Orthodox (95%)
4. Roman Catholic (95%)
5. Seventh Day Adventist (92%)
6. Orthodox Quaker (92%)
considering I believe in interfaith, no wonder there were about 20 on the list. Baptist being none of them. No quite sure what any of these are. I guess believing in the trinity, resurrection and personal God makes you a protestant.
Yes, Baptist is a religion to me, however, I dont practice religion, but faith. It is like comparing carrots and peas, some like to put them together but are two different things.
1. Mormons (100%)
2. Jehovah's Wittness (89%)
3. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (71%)
Thank-you to everyone who has taken this quiz and/or made such interesting comments. Some of the questions in the quiz were not things that I had consciously pondered -- or at least not pondered with the consideration of how strongly I felt about them -- for quite some time.
Again, Thanks!
I look forward to reading more results.
