Every day on the news, both local and national, I hear about several deaths, rapidly increasing prices on everything, gang rivalries growing bigger and stronger, robberies, violent crime in general. Not only is it just in the news, I see it with my own eyes any time I look at something outside of these walls. Violence, neglect, abuse...it's all getting worse, and with no end in sight. Can thinking about that cause depression?
