My "mom" went to the courthouse yesterday to cast her vote early, and the line was an hour & a half long. She has always been politically active, daughter of a State Senator and Judge.
Age is catching up with her...her weight is getting harder to carry. Her knees would not let her stand that long, so she left. :(
A historical election on many levels! She better get out there and vote, as she has always done.
I drove by the courthouse today, and the line was around the block!!!
So I'm going with her tomorrow and I will vote early as well...I'm going to carry a folding chair for her.
True story....!!
But maybe if we can get her to dance a little to excersize those knees, it could loosen the joints? Come on! She does water aerobics!!
I stole this from another website!! LOL!!
Whatever it takes, whomever your choice, make your voices heard, Americans!

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
How wonderful you are to take mom to vote and to even bring her a chair! I hope my daughter is that kind to me when I am older!!! Dance on Nee...but can us bad kneed people dance in the water??? lol
I'm a 'glass half-full' kind of person, an optimist. Usually. I hope...LOL! OK...that's who I want to be eventually!
I'm still holding out hope for change this election. My union job closing after 78 years here...built plants in Poland & Mexico....having to take a lower-paying job, while the cost of living is rising & I'm divorcing, raising 2 kids alone now....don't make me go on. Yes, many of us need changes. Millions of Americans are seeking changes...and likely we have different issues & hopes for the changes.
We need to make the popular vote the deciding vote, for sure. I agree.
