I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You just have to learn to think ahead as much as you can, and I have had to start looking for my next refill as soon as I get one...ok, that almost sounds like a junkie, but it's not the same problem!!!
THere is an emergency mental health walk-in clinic here in Portland, and thank God for them. They have bailed me out twice when the Dr.s office AND their affiliated hospital pharmacy were out of samples. If you live near a relatively large city, see if there's one available. THere should be some emergency resources somewhere. Try calling your local ER and tell them the situation...they may not be able to help directly, but they may be able to tell you where you can get help.
What are you taking?
You might want to call the local hospital or emergency room. Very often then can help. As well, there is usually a social worker or crisis team on duty who can assist.
They may also be useful in finding better resources -- clinics, docs and funding for meds.
The challenge right now is the lack of motivation. it's great that you are following through on your promise, but until you can find a reason to get the ball rolling, your situation may worsen.
Self-pity is a dangerous trap. It's like a vacation -- a place you don't mind visiting once in a while, but who wants to live there!
Your phone book should also have some distress numbers in the front section. It sounds to me like you may need an advocate or a case worker to help you with may be some less than stellar medical supports.
