I read the 'CONFUSED ABOUT RELIGION' thread. I have a couple of things that I am curious about, if someone can please help me understand.
Background. I am a lutheran and have been my whole live, I have my own personal set of beliefs that ties in with what I have been taught, what I feel from my own thoughts on what I have read in the bible and what I take on faith.
1) I always thought wiccans were good and were followers of nature, and things such as that. I would like to educate myself more on the wiccan religion, but I do not want to become wiccan. Can anyone suggets any books or websites for me to look into.
2) As a christian, I have always believed that I have no right to judge anyone, and that God is the one who does that. Why are there so many christians condemning, attacking and judging not only deathwarmedover, but the wiccans that are in the thread. As christians, who are we to judge other's beliefs as wrong?
I am sure this is going to start World War Three, and I am not trying to, but as a christian, I am lost as to where the tolerance of other's beliefs is at. I in no way believe that my religion is the only one, nor would I EVER want to tell someonelse what they believe is wrong. That in itself goes against what God's teachings.
Does anyone have any input here?
Namaste.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
So I agree. I have been condemned many times (not here) for my own religion, and I am tired of it. I don't pass judgment, and I don't understand why anyone would.

Good Luck with your explorations
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Thanks all
I will add though in my own experience, one of my ex's best friends was wiccan/pagen (he called himself both and Ihonestly have no clue if they are one and the same-he treated them as though they were). Anyway he was what I would call a bad witch. He was not kind and was very harmful. Another ex I was with for a while was also pagen and while he wasn't as bad as the ex's friend he wasn't able to tolerate other people's beliefs.
I think all that goes to show though is that in every group of people (Christians, Catholics, Pagen, White, Black...) there will always be a bad apple and the sad thing is that the one bad apple often gives the rest of the quite possible good group a bad name or reputation.
I won't lie and say I don't cringe when I hear people say they are a witch-simply because that's my own dealings but I do know that there are good people out there who don't deserve to be judged because of the bad apples.
