Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

This is a comment from a post in the bipolar group, asking if anyone felt like ending it.....
24/7. But I know it's not time yet.... I have to walk across a freeway overpass to get to my Dr.s office, and it is so tempting sometimes, to just jump over the side, and be finished with it. And then, once, I stepped off the curb after crossing, and some idiot almost ran me over when they should have let me cross first.
Then I realized, my end will come soon enough, and I don't need to help it along.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
A short while later I was at the beach with my children and my friend, two young boys were in the sea and shouting for help, no one else had seen them and we had to go in, I dont swim well and have a slight phobia of the sea (if i were meant to swim god would have given me flippers and gills). I could still touch the rocks underneath with my feet when I reached the first boy but had to swim in an undercurrent to get to the second. I could easily have died that day, with my children there on the beach watching.
Things like that really make you think, I know now that I will never take my own life, I've taken that option away, it's not juat my life it's my childrens too.
